Lemon salt is also known as citric acid or sour salt which is a weak, organic acid naturally obtained from citrus fruits such as lemon, oranges, grapefruits, etc. The lemon salt can be used in food as well as non-food applications, such as preservatives, bread, cleaning agents, personal care products, respectively. It has a tart sour taste available in powder & crystal forms and can be also used as an emulsifying agent. According to FDA ascorbic acid like citric acid is a naturally occurring substance sometimes also used as a flavor and has antioxidant properties.
