About Hydration Bladder
A hydration bladder is a kind of hydration system which is built as a backpack or waist pack that contains a reservoir and is commonly made up of rubber or flexible plastic. This reservoir comprises a capped mouth for the purpose of filling it with liquid and there is a hose that allows the wearer to drink the liquid hands-free. Most of the hoses end with a "bite valve" which opens when the user bites down on it; this valve may further be protected by a dust cover. Some of the hydration packs are also insulated so as to keep the water from freezing or becoming warm. The volume of the container and the pack carrying can vary broadly depending upon the purpose of the hydration bladder. Some of the packs are really small and minimalist, that are designed to add as little weight as possible and hence remains secure during running or cycling, while some of the others are more suitable for backpacking and extended hikes, and are hence equipped with a much larger bladder.
