Dragon fruit is a tropical fruit which is also known as the pitaya or strawberry pear. Dragon fruit grows on climbing Hylocereus cactus. Dragon fruit typically comes in four varieties among which three are pink-skinned and one variety has yellow skin. The most widely used variety has white pulp with black seeds. Dragon fruit is also blended in cocktails. Dragon fruit contains vitamin A, vitamin C along calcium, iron, and magnesium.
