About Solar Chimney
A solar chimney power plant also called solar updraft tower, it generate solar power unit in which a solar air collector and central updraft tower is used to produce a solar induced air flow which pushes turbines to generate electricity. It is a traditional cooling method in which air is heated in a vertical shaft by solar radiation, and the resulting updraft draws warm air from the building to rise through the shaft. The cooling effect can be enhanced by employing an underground pipe or duct to draw cooler air into the base of the building.
