Calcined soda is the sodium salt of carbonic acid that exists in white or slightly brownish color and is easily soluble in water. Calcined soda is considered an eco-friendly substance as it derives from nature in disassociated form. Calcined soda is widely used in the manufacturing of detergent, soaps, and all types of glass including foam glass, crystal glass, optical and medical glass, glass blocks, etc. It can also be used for softening water and removing sulfur and phosphorus from metals such as pig iron, cast iron, and steel.
