What is Artificial Disc Market?
The artificial disc is a device that is implanted into the spine to imitate the functions of a normal disc (carry a load and allow motion). It is of two types including lumbar artificial disc and cervical artificial disc. It is generally made of metal or plastic-like materials (bipolymers) or a combination of the two. The artificial disc can be used in the body for many years. The artificial disc implantation is performed due to pain arising from the disc that has not been adequately reduced with non-operative care such as medication, injections, chiropractic care and/or physical therapy.
