Under Floor Heating Market Scope
Underfloor heating refers to the centralized heating system which is placed under the floor of a building for maintaining comfortable room temperatures. These heating systems use electric systems which needs electricity to operate and hydronic systems in which fluid flows in the pipes to heat the floor. Underfloor heating system market has high growth prospects owing to the benefits associated such as it provides thermal comfort, flexible control through the single thermostat, low maintenance cost and others. Further, increasing demand for energy efficient heating systems and development of IoT-based cloud backed underfloor heating system expected to drive the demand for underfloor heating over the forecasted period.
The market study is being classified by Type (Electric Underfloor Heating System and Hydronic Underfloor Heating System), by Application (Commercial, Residential, Entertainment, Industrial, Healthcare and Education) and major geographies with country level break-up. “British & European standards cover the different areas of underfloor heating such as wet systems fall under the British standard BS.EN 1264, Parts 1 to 4. Part 2 of the legislation states that the maximum comfortable temperature underfoot is 29°C; while part 4 specifies the allowance in wet rooms of a maximum floor temperature of 33°C, and 35°C for a one-metre perimeter zone. The standard also sets out a limit of 1.5 TOGs for any floor coverings. Most types of flooring are comfortable within this temperature range; basic vinyl flooring and lino can withstand a surface temperature of 27°C, while heavy-duty plastic sheeting can tolerate a 29°C surface temperature. The newer European standard EURO-Norm IEC 60364-4 covers mattress and pre-fabricated element heating systems for under-tile or similar underfloor systems.”
