About Multistage Pump
Multistage pumps are defined as pumps during which the fluid flows through numerous impellers fitted serial. The multistage pumps can easily be employed downstream of a stage or the dummy stages can be fitted for future pressure increases. A multistage pump may be a sort of pump that contains two or more impellers which can be of an equivalent or differing types i.e low NPSH suction impeller, double pressure impeller or combination with Centrifugal first stage and side channel stage impellers. A multistage pump runs by one impeller feeding into subsequent impeller and therefore the number of impellers required depend upon the discharge pressure requirement. During a sequence from the left to right the liquid enters the pump then passes through the varied number of impellers.
