It contains 5% or less moisture according to weight, 1.5% milkfat, and a minimum of 34% milk protein content. The skimmed milk powder is widely used in the reconstituted milk products like yogurt, dairy desserts, ice cream, etc, it is also used in many other food items such as bakery, infant formulas, dry mixes, and others.
