Global Bicycle Rear Derailleurs Market Overview:
Derailleurs are a variable-ratio transmission system commonly used on bicycles that consists of a chain, multiple sprockets of different sizes, and a mechanism for moving the chain from one sprocket to another. Although referred to as gears in the bicycle world, these bicycle wheels are technically sprockets in that they are driven or driven by a chain rather than one another. Modern derailleurs usually consist of a movable chain guide that is remotely controlled via a Bowden cable attached to a shift lever that is attached to the down tube, handlebar stem, or handlebar. If a rider pulls the lever while pedaling, the change in cable tension moves the chain guide from side to side and "derails" the chain onto different sprockets. The rear derailleur is the mechanism that moves the chain on the sprockets. There are many different models, but they all share the same basic design and functionality. Front derailleurs are attached to the frame's front derailleur bracket on the bike with a mounting screw. The rear derailleur serves the dual purpose of moving the chain between the rear sprockets and taking up the chain slack caused by moving to a smaller rear sprocket or a smaller linkage through the front derailleur. To accomplish this second task, it is positioned in the path of the lower, slack part of the chain. Sometimes the derailleurs are used as chain tensioners for single-speed bicycles that cannot adjust the chain tension in any other way.
