Conductivity Meter is a device used to measure the conductance of an aqueous solution. Conductance is the ability of a solution to conduct electric current. The amount of total dissolved solids (TDS) and electrolytes present in a solution determines the conductivity of the solution. The device consists of a small measuring probe and is dipped into a testing solution. An electric current is allowed to flow between the two electrodes and therefore gives the conductivity reading corresponding to the number of dissolved solids present in the solution.
