About Palm Acid Oil
Palm Acid Oil (PAO) is a by-product obtained from the alkaline refining of palm oil. It consists mainly of Free Fatty Acid (FFA) and neutral oil, with moisture and other impurities. This oil proves to be a suitable candidate for the base material for lubricant due to its very high FFA contents and its cost-beneficial. It is used for making laundry soaps and for producing calcium soaps for animal feed formulations. PAO is very similar to palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD), but its FFA is generally lower. The growing demand for palm acid oil is expected to drive market growth in the upcoming years.
