Market Snapshot:
Automotive Piston head, also known as piston crown is the top end from a complete piston and is exposed in a high level to hot gases within the combustion chamber. Piston head is usually located on the top of the engine block of an automotive. Piston heads serves as a housing for components such as the intake and exhaust valves, springs and lifters and the combustion chamber. In most engines, the piston head includes passages that deliver air and fuel to the piston and which allow exhaust gas to exit. The cylinder head is usually made of gray iron or aluminum alloy. Aluminum has the advantages of being lightweight and having high thermal conductivity.
