On 28th July 2021, After a Covid-19 induced delay, French multinational hotel group Accor is finally opening its first Raffles hotel in India at the historic lake city of Udaipur. The 101-room luxury hotel, spread over 21 acres, will officially open for guests on August 2, Kerrie Hannaford, VP, commercial at Accor for India and South Asia, told ET in an interview. The chain’s second Raffles hotel in Jaipur should be ready by the end of 2022 if things go as planned.
