About Radio Control Servo Motors
Servo motors designed to be operated in model aeroplanes and cars via a radio-controlled link are commonly referred to as radio-controlled servos, though the servo motor itself is not radio controlled. On the model, the motor is simply connected to a radio receiver. That receiver sends signals to the servo. This means you do not have to use radio signals to control your robot if you use an R/C servo (unless you want to, of course). A PC, a microcontroller such as the Arduino, or even a simple timer circuit, can control a servo. It measures approximately 1-1/2" x 3/4" x 1-3/8". The size and mounting method for this type of servo are the same regardless of the model and manufacturer.
