About Fluorescence-Guided Surgery System
Fluorescence guided surgery (FGS) is an imaging technique that allows the surgeon to see structures and types of tissue that may not be visible under white light conditions during a surgical procedure. Fluorescence-Guided Surgery System is an intraoperative medical technique that generates a real-time fluorescence image of the surgical region to help guide the procedure. In comparison to conventional imaging techniques such as CT and MRI, FGS can provide real-time imaging during surgery and is significantly less expensive and simpler to use. A fluorescent substance and a special microscope are used during surgery to show tumour margins (edges), allowing more of the tumour to be removed. The substance is ingested and is absorbed by rapidly growing cells. When viewed through a microscope with a special blue light, these cells light up. This could assist doctors in removing as much tumour as possible while preserving healthy tissue. The use of fluorescence-guided surgery in the treatment of certain types of brain tumours is being researched

Segmentation Overview
AMA Research has segmented the market of Global Fluorescence-Guided Surgery System market by Type (PDE system, VS3 iridium system, SPY system and Others), Application (Sentinel Lymph Node (SLN) Mapping, Identification of Solid Tumors, Lymphography, Angiography and Anatomical Imaging) and Region.
On the basis of geography, the market of Fluorescence-Guided Surgery System has been segmented into South America (Brazil, Argentina, Rest of South America), Asia Pacific (China, Japan, India, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Rest of Asia-Pacific), Europe (Germany, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Rest of Europe), MEA (Middle East, Africa), North America (United States, Canada, Mexico). If we see Market by End Users, the sub-segment i.e. Doctor will boost the Fluorescence-Guided Surgery System market. Additionally, the rising demand from SMEs and various industry verticals gives enough cushion to market growth.
Market Leaders and their expansionary development strategies
In 2021 Olympus to Acquire Quest Photonic Devices B.V. to Bolster Surgical Endoscopy Capabilities. Fluorescence imaging refers to imaging techniques that use fluorescent dyes to direct light to specific anatomical structures. Tissues or lesions that are nearly invisible under normal white light become visible by using targeted dyes in conjunction with specific light wavelengths. The VISERA ELITE II laparoscopic imaging system from Olympus already includes fluorescence imaging technology. VISERA ELITE II employs near-infrared light to identify blood vessels or lymph nodes beneath the surface tissues, allowing surgeons to perform safer procedures with lower complication risks. The Quest technology acquired is intended to expand Olympus's opportunities in this field.
