About Enoki Mushroom
Enoki Mushroom is a type of edible mushroom belonging to the Physalacriaceae family of mushrooms. The mushroom can be either found in wild or it can be cultivated. In the wild, it is usually found on the trees of mulberry, hackberry, and persimmon among others. The mushroom is sourced in the months of September to march in the winter, thus it is also known as winter fungus. They have a low cholesterol content, a high dietary fibre content, and are high in antioxidants. Enoki mushroom also offers rich calorie and protein content, thus giving a nutritionally balanced diet option. The enoki mushrooms found in the wild have a slightly different colour than those which are cultivated. Global rise in veganism culture has significantly accelerated the market growth of the enoki mushroom.
