Formamidine acetate salt is used in the preparation of formamidinium lead triiodide (FAPbI3) perovskites. This formamidinium lead triiodide (FAPbI3) perovskites are used in perovskite solar cells. Formamidine acetate is also used in the synthesis of formamidinium lead bromide nanocrystals which are used as emitters in display applications. It is soluble in water and hot alcohol.
