About Lichen Nitidus Treatment
Lichen nitidus is a rare chronic skin disease that is characterized by flat and skin-colored micro-papules. Properties of these micro-papules are size, shape (point), color, position, and itching. It mainly affects the geriatric and pediatric populations. It's a harmless condition that usually lasts for a year or so. It is also sometimes referred to as the Mini Lichen Planus. It rarely causes any kind of discomfort and thereby usually goes without treatment. There is no risk of skin cancer, but it can spread to other people. Doctors usually use a magnifying glass to examine the infected skin and examine symptoms. It can appear in areas such as the forearms, abdomen, chest, back of hands, and much more. They often appear on the chest, abdomen, arms, and genital areas, including the penis. In this disease, T lymphocytes are activated, which leads to the formation of these micro papules. In lichen nitidus, there is a linear arrangement of micro-papules that can be seen on the forearm or in the affected area.
