Global Satellite AIS Market Overview:
Satellite AIS is an automatic identification system for satellites used for avoiding collision and identifying the location information. These systems are widely used in maritime intelligence and security, search and rescue, environmental monitoring, and other applications. It helps in tracking the location of the vessels in remote areas of the world, it is considered to be a short-range tracking system. The satellite AIS provides navigation staus data transmitted every 2 to 180 seconds according to the activity of the vessel. Some of the players profiled in the study are ORBCOMM (United States), exactEarth Ltd (Canada), L3 Technologies (United States), Kongsberg Gruppen (Norway), Raymarine (United Kingdom), Maritec Solutions (South Africa), Spire Global, Inc. (United States), Alen Space (Spain), Furuno Electric Co., Ltd (Japan), Japan Radio Co., Ltd. (Japan) and Saab AB (Sweden).
On the basis of geography, the market of Satellite AIS has been segmented into South America (Brazil, Argentina, Rest of South America), Asia Pacific (China, Japan, India, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Rest of Asia-Pacific), Europe (Germany, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Rest of Europe), MEA (Middle East, Africa), North America (United States, Canada, Mexico). If we see Market by Transponder, the sub-segment i.e. Class A Transponder will boost the Satellite AIS market. Additionally, the rising demand from SMEs and various industry verticals gives enough cushion to market growth. If we see Market by Platform, the sub-segment i.e. Vessel-Based will boost the Satellite AIS market. Additionally, the rising demand from SMEs and various industry verticals gives enough cushion to market growth.
