The arteriovenous fistula is a disorder of blood flow due to an abnormal connection between a vein and an artery. The main goal of arteriovenous fistula treatment is to eliminate blood flow between the affected blood vessels. Imaging tests such as computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are useful for doctors to determine the exact size and location of the affected blood vessels.
