Aircraft Nacelle and Thrust Reverser Market Scope
Aircraft Nacelles refers to housing which is separate from the fuselage and holds engines, fuel, or equipment on an aircraft. Thrust reversal is the temporary diversion of an aircraft engine's thrust and acts as forwarding travel of the aircraft, rather than backward. Aircraft nacelle and thrust reverser market has high growth prospects owing to rise in air travel which is leading to growth in aircraft production. Further, market players are focusing on providing thrust reversal services. For instance, Safran an aircraft engine nacelle producers signed a contract with Azul to provide spares pool resources and repair services for thrust reversers. In addition, technological advancement in the aircraft nacelle and thrust reverser and rise in demand from the emerging economies expected to drive the demand for aircraft nacelle and thrust reverser market over the forecasted period.
According to AMA, the Global Aircraft Nacelle and Thrust Reverser market is expected to see growth rate of 5.69%The market for Aircraft Landing Gear Systems is highly competitive, driven by the demand for advanced aircraft technologies. Key players in the industry offer a wide range of landing gear systems and solutions, focusing on various aspects such as weight reduction, fuel efficiency, and integrated systems. The competitive landscape also features several other notable players who contribute to the market with their specialized landing gear offerings and global presence. Market Leaders and their Expansionary Development Strategies
In November 2021, In a regulatory filing, Boeing has informed the FAA that it has broadened its proposed nacelle modifications for Pratt & Whitney-powered 777 aircraft. The expanded proposal now encompasses thrust reverser modifications as well.
10th April 2019, Safran Nacelles has been selected by Avianca Holdings S.A. an airline holding company to provide spares pool resources and repair services for engine nacelles. and 14th January 2019, Triumph Group, Inc. supplier of aerospace services, structures, systems and support announced to provide structural formed skins for the Bombardier thrust reversers to be fitted on Geared Turbo Fan powered A320neo aircraft.
“According to the Federal Aviation Administration landing distance rules for commercial operators imposes mandatory 15-percent landing distance safety margins on Part 91K (fractional), 125, 121 and 135 jet operators. The new requirement is simple, no operator to which the policy applies is allowed to land on any runway without 15 percent more runway available than the actual landing distance. If weather conditions change in route, pilots will have to recalculate the actual landing distance needed, based on runway conditions and use of available equipment such as thrust reversers and spoilers, add 15 percent to that and determine if the destination runway is long enough. If not, they will have to find a suitable runway.”
