About Missile Seeker Detector
Missile Seeker Detector is a passive weapon guidance device that monitors and follows a target using infrared (IR) light emission. Infrared-seeking missiles are also referred to as "heat-seekers" since hot bodies emit a lot of infrared. Many objects, such as humans, car engines, and aircraft, produce and emit heat, making them more visible in infrared wavelengths of light than background objects. Missile seekers, unlike radar, are passive devices that give no indication that they are tracking a target. When combined with a forward-looking infrared cuing system, they're ideal for sneak attacks during visual encounters or over longer ranges. Multiple sensors, such as wide area monitoring sensors, infrared warning receivers, and infrared sensors, are used to detect attacking missiles in missile seeker detectors. Single-element linear array detectors, multi-element linear array detectors, and imaging focal plane array seekers are among the various detectors.
