What is Ultra Wideband Market Scope?
Ultra-broadband (UWB) is the kind of radio technology that transmits a large amount of digital data over a wide range of frequency bands that have very little power over a short distance. While ultra-broadband operates in the same frequency band, it is not deflected by carrier wave transmission as well as conventional narrow band. It has the ability to transfer massive amounts of data up to 230 feet at very low power, which is less than 0.5 MW. Ultra-broadband (UWB) is usually compared to other short-range wireless technologies such as Bluetooth and long-range wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi. Ultra-wideband has two types of applications including radar applications where the signal penetrates nearby surfaces but reflects more distant surfaces so that objects behind walls or other coverings can be detected, and voice and data transmission using digital pulses whereby a very low power, relatively low-cost signal can transmit information at very high rates within a limited range.
